Summer Workshops and Special Events at CCM
Accent08
June 15-21, 2008
Accent08 is a chamber music festival offering internationally recognized
artist-faculty. In this CCM summer program ensemble activities are supported
by daily private lessons, classes and orchestra rehearsals. Ensembles
and groups are arranged by level as well as by age. We welcome pre-formed ensembles. This one-week
intensive program is opened by a faculty concert, and showcases its participants
with concerts at the end of the week. Daily master classes, and concerto
competitions provide further performance opportunities. Accent08
is open to college students, as well as strong high school students with
a solid background in either woodwind instruments, brass instruments,
stringed instruments, piano, percussions, voice or composition. Crescendo08,
the young musicians division of A08, is open to high school and middle
school students. Accent08 can be taken for one or two undergraduate credits.
