| Mary grew up just down the road from Cincinnati in Lexington, KY. In the fourth grade, she announced to her mother that she wanted to sing in the church choir and has been singing and involved with the arts ever since. She graduated with a B.A. in Music and a minor in Religion from The University of the South located atop the Cumberland Plateau in Sewanee, TN. As a student there, she held leadership positions in the University Choir and the Residential Life program as well as serving as the President of the Intersorority Council. Her love for leadership, outreach, and the arts led her to seek a graduate degree in Arts Administration. After graduation in 2005, Mary spent a year as an intern at the Atlanta Opera. While she will always be a Kentucky girl at heart, Mary is thrilled to be in Cincinnati earning her MA and MBA. In her free time, Mary loves reading, listening to new music, hiking, camping, and traveling to new places. |
| Michael Tyler Ennis was born in Atlanta and raised in the small-town Milledgeville, Georgia. He decided that a small liberal arts college was best for undergraduate work and received his B.M. in Music Business from Berry College in 2006. During his junior year of college, Tyler interned with company management at world-renowned La Jolla Playhouse in beautiful San Diego, California. After enjoying a remarkable summer in San Diego during 2005, Tyler returned to La Jolla Playhouse to work full-time for a portion of the 2006 season before attending graduate school. He ultimately chose CCM for its M.B.A. dual degree offering and its reputation as a top arts school in the nation. When not administrating the arts, Tyler has a huge passion for film, acting, live music, animals, and food. While his secret dream job is to be a movie producer, Tyler would be extremely happy to be Executive Director of any great theater organization. |
| Cameron grew up in the suburbs of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, known for its jazz, barbeque, and water fountains. He received his B.M. in Vocal Performance with a Minor in Italian from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Having amassed a variety of experience from working in operations for a start up internet company in California to teaching English in Korean universities, Cameron was happy to find himself back in the arts at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance where he most recently worked before moving to Cincinnati. His exposure to the administrative side of the arts in Michigan led him to Cincinnati to pursue the Arts Administration program. Outside of school and work, Cameron enjoys singing, playing tennis, cooking, eating, dancing, watching movies, and learning new languages such as French, Italian, German, Korean, and Chinese. He is delighted to be in a city that is so dedicated to the arts, and is excited to be a part of the CCM AA team and share in and learn from the myriad of experiences of the students and faculty in CCM and the Business College. He looks forward to gaining the vital tools needed to be a successful arts administrator. |
| Magdalen grew up in Frankfurt, Germany, and was exposed form early childhood on to a variety of classical and contemporary performing arts. After studying Ballet in Berlin and Frankfurt, she received her Bachelors in Arts form London Contemporary Dance School. Upon graduation she received the prestigious Deutsche Bank Pyramid award, to start up her own collaborative dance company “La Ventana”. After working as a freelance dancer, choreographer and facilitator of performing arts projects in prisons across the UK, the subsequent three years are marked by engagements from the Royal Shakespeare Company, Dance United, Escape Artists, Frauke Requardt Dance Company and Russell Maliphant. Her decision to come to UC was based on the international acclaim of CCM, the business orientation of the program, and the integrated real professional experience that is vital to the degree. |
| Jessica is from the very small town of Vermontville, MI. She received her BBA in marketing from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo with a minor in general music. She has held summer positions with the National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, CO and Fontana Chamber Arts in Kalamazoo, MI. Currently, she holds the position of General Manager of the Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati. In her spare time she enjoys eating ice cream, going to orchestral concerts, and drinking wine with friends. |
| Traci grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and the southwest suburbs of Madison, WI. She received her B.A. from Luther College in Decorah, IA in Business Management and a Minor in General Music in May 2006. Her work experience includes student intern with the Madison Symphony Orchestra in education, pit musician for Stoughton theatres, stage director of SPIN theatre productions at Luther College, and
student coordinator of Luther College Dorian Music Festivals. Recently graduated from the Arts Administration and MBA program at UC, she is working at the Fine Arts Fund in Cincinnati, OH. Her husband continues his education as a 4+ architecture student at DAAP. Traci looks forward to her professional experience at the FAF as well as more time to enjoy reading, knitting, cooking, attending arts events, and walking her dog, Luther. |
| Ruth calls Fargo home, but grew up in a rural North Dakotan town, population 800. While studying to receive a B.M. in Music Business and a minor in Women’s Studies at Minnesota State University Moorhead, she worked with several local organizations and was a board member for three non-profit organizations. After co-founding a political action and social activism group, Ruth received the Fargo Human Relations Council MLK Award for Youth Activism. Ruth spent several years in the independent music scene before finding her love for administration. Her work experience includes three summer internships at Trollwood Performing Arts School, and was most recently employed full-time as Operations Manager and Film Festival Coordinator at the Historic Fargo Theatre. Her husband, Tim Stine, is also attending CCM for Jazz Studies. Ruth enjoys a smidgen of jogging, a handful of dinner parties, an over-flowing cup of independent films, a platter of theatre. |
| After having completed a Masters in Trumpet Performance at the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music, Khoa is happy to be studying Arts Administration in Cincinnati, where a strange addiction to Skyline Chili has overcome him. During the summers while studying at CCM, Khoa took part in the Bay View Chamber Music Festival (Bay View, MI) and the Opera, Theater, and Music Festival of Lucca (Lucca, Italy), where Khoa learned how to speak a total of 24 words in Italian. Khoa currently works at the box office of the Cincinnati Symphony, and he previously interned at the Cincinnati Opera. Before coming to Cincinnati, Khoa completed a Bachelor of Music in Music Education at Shenandoah University (Winchester, VA). While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Khoa attended the Brevard Music Center (Brevard, NC) and worked as a camp counselor, musician, and trumpet teacher at Blue Lake Fine Arts (Twin Lakes, MI). A first generation Vietnamese-American, Khoa was born and raised in Reading, PA, a city close to Philadelphia and ‘famous’ for outlet shopping, pretzels, and Yeungling beer. Continuing to freelance in Cincinnati, Khoa is excited to be focusing his efforts towards the world of administration. |
| Sarah Niblack currently works as the Individual Services and Annual Fund Manager for the Cincinnati Art Museum. Previously, she served as the Business Development Associate for Enjoy the Arts, an arts marketing organization directed at area youth and young professionals. She is thrilled to be a part of the growing arts culture in Cincinnati. Sarah has served as the Graduate Development Intern for the Seattle-based grantmaking organization PONCHO, on the staff of the Press and Marketing team for C venues at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, as Press and Marketing Director of Hunger Warrior Theatre, as a stage and house manager for CCM Performance Management, and as an administrative assistant for the Opera Theatre and Music Festival of Lucca, Italy. Sarah received her undergraduate degree in Viola Performance at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. A native of Seattle, Washington, Sarah loves sailing, rowing, photography, and seeing passion for the arts in others. |
| Shannon grew up in southeast Wisconsin, where there are lots of cows, lots of fields, and lots of breweries. She studied English and cello at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. Working two summers in the communications department of Ravinia Festival just outside of Chicago piqued her interest in arts administration. In her spare time she likes skittles, playing cello, arguing about politics, ballroom dancing, cheesy musicals and, of course, long walks on the beach. |
| Kobie, who grew up in the wonderful state of Alabama, is happy to be in Cincinnati pursuing his graduate studies. Growing up in the capital city of Montgomery, Kobie attended magnet schools and was involved with many arts experiences including playing clarinet in the city youth orchestra, saxophone in the school jazz band, and acting in theatrical productions. During his summers, Kobie spent time in theater, opera, and choral camps, which led to his wanting to pursue classical voice training at the University of Alabama. While at the University of Alabama, he worked directly for the Executive Director as a volunteer for the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra. This experience led to his desire to study Arts Administration. His most recent experience was in the Box Office of the well-known Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Kobie is looking forward to all he will learn from his professors here at the University of Cincinnati. |
| Colleen grew up in Columbus, Ohio, home of the Buckeyes. She received her B.B.A with a major in Marketing and International Business from the University of Cincinnati. During her undergraduate studies, she gained marketing and PR experience while co-oping at FRCH Design Worldwide and International Business knowledge while studying abroad at Audencia University in Nantes, France. Colleen has always had a strong passion for music as a clarinet player and former PR chair of the University of Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She is excited to continue her business studies at Cincinnati as an MBA student and start her Arts Administration career as a CCM MA student. She plans on working towards being a Director of Marketing for a music organization after graduation. Other than her studies, Colleen enjoys playing racquetball, volleyball, UC basketball, OSU football, being with her friends and family, reading, and finding new and exciting things to do around the city of Cincinnati. |
| Anne McDowell Wadman hails from Colorado Springs, Colorado, and received her undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina, where she graduated cum laude with honors in Theate. Annie also studied 20th Century Modernisms and Post-Modernisms at the University of London, and is a member of Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa Honor Societies. Since joining the arts adminisration program at UC, she has worked at local "edgy" institution Know Theatre of Cincinnati. She is thrilled to continue her education of the arts in America in this prestigious and challenging program. |

| Originally from Richmond, VA, Nathan has recently lived in Indiana where he attained Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Voice Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. While at IU he frequently performed with the IU Opera Theater as well as IU Choral Ensembles and performed as the Tenor Soloist in Mozart's Coronation Mass at Carnegie Hall. For the last four summers he has performed with the Carmel Bach Festival in Carmel, CA, as part of its Festival Chorale. Last year, he was a member of the Indianapolis Opera Ensemble, and performed the role of Remendado in IO's mainstage production of Carmen. Along with being part of the Arts Administration program at CCM, he serves as the Operations Manager for the Vocal Arts Ensemble of Cincinnati. He is thrilled to work with such talented colleagues and professors, and looks forward to his future in the Arts. |
| Hailing from Canada, Mark has been working professionally in the arts for the past 6 years. An alum of the University of Waterloo and the Canadian College of Performing Arts, Mark has most recently worked with the development departments of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Canada’s National Arts Centre. Mark is also a graduate of the Income Managers Program, a comprehensive professional training program for emerging arts managers with a focus on marketing and development for the nonprofit cultural sector. Prior to this, as Theatre Manager, Mark was instrumental in the creation of the Waterloo Entertainment Centre, a commercial performing arts venue in Waterloo, Ontario. Mark is excited to be pursuing graduate studies in Arts Administration at the University of Cincinnati and looks forward to continued growth and professional development. |
| Ashley was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She gained an early appreciation for the arts leading her to study Art History at Tulane University in New Orleans. Easily enamored by the city’s vibrant culture, she quickly gained a love for the unique home of jazz, gumbo, and of course, Mardi Gras. She spent her summers actively pursuing her love of the arts, including a 2005 internship in Cincinnati Opera’s development department. After Hurricane Katrina a return to New Orleans allowed her to take part in the rebuilding effort, working closely with organizations such as Katrina Krewe and Beautify Lakeview. She later worked as a research assistant for an independent exhibition under the direction of Dr. Theresa Leininger-Miller. The project focused on the life and work of 1860’s daguerreotypist and photographer James Presely Ball. She is excited to be back in Cincinnati, thrilled to be a part of CCM, and eager to pursue a career in development. |
| Dana came to the Arts Admin MA/MBA program from Minneapolis, MN, where she received her B.A. in theatre from the University of Minnesota. While in Minneapolis, Dana worked at the Southern Theater in front-of-house management, administration, and as an event-sales intern. Working at the Southern exposed her to world-class modern dance, as well as the unique challenges of a very small nonprofit organization.
Dana hopes to work in programming, ideally in a performing venue commited to new works and experimental theatrical events with some ties to the contemporary art world, which will someday lead to an executive directorship at a mid-size arts organization.
She is also commited to yoga, coffee, good wine, and reading as much Beckett as possible. |
| Originally from New York, Courtney received her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, having studied musicology and actuarial science. She worked briefly at an actuarial firm on Long Island, while simultaneously gaining experience in the field of arts administration as a volunteer for Sympho, Inc., a company for which she continues to work in audience relations. Courtney has also taught high school orchestra, in addition to giving private lessons in cello, her primary instrument. As a cellist, she has performed with various youth, regional and university orchestras in North and South America as well as Africa, and has been a soloist with the Lehigh University Philharmonic. She is currently a member of the Zaria String Quartet at CCM. While in college, Courtney excelled in bicycle sales, sandwich making, and math. Additional hobbies include long distance running, salsa dancing, bassooning, baking, and reading.
Following graduation, Courtney intends to fervently pursue a career in Seasonal and Trend Fiscability, utilizing the Holt-Winter's method. |
| Originally from California, Evan has made the Midwest his adopted home, living in Michigan for the past six years. He received his undergraduate degree in saxophone performance from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and subsequently worked as a performer and teacher. Evan made the transition to arts administration after working at the Aspen Music Festival in operations and orchestra manager capacities. In the future, Evan hopes for a position with a symphony orchestra or conservatory. |
| Thomas is native to Cincinnati. He received his BA in Drama/Mathematics from Thomas More College in Crestview Hills Kentucky. Whenever he talks about his undergrad degrees, people always comment “an interesting combination.” As Tom was researching possible graduate programs, CCM’s focus on business and art seemed the perfect pairing. Tom has been working with Ovation Theatre Company, and is currently heavily involved with New Stage Collective. While most of his background is in production his interest in arts administration will focus on marketing and development. |
| Erika is originally from Northeastern Ohio, but has spent the last thirteen summers in picturesque Chautauqua, New York. She received her Bachelors Degree from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio where she majored in English and minored in Mathematics. Erika recently completed her coursework for a Masters Degree in English Studies specializing in the Victorian Period from the University of Exeter in England. Although much of her academic work was in the English field, her love of opera and musical theatre was always present: her Masters dissertation was “Wagnerian Literature and Sexuality in Fin-de-Siècle Britain” and her undergraduate thesis was on Sweeney Todd and Elizabethan Revenge Tragedy. Erika’s love of the Arts grew due to the many opportunities through working at Chautauqua Institution. Although she started as a lunch lady five years ago, she has since worked her way up. This past summer she was the Scheduling Coordinator and Administrator for the Voice Program run by Marlena Malas at the Chautauqua Music Festival. Erika’s interests include opera, theatre, European travel, British/period films and drinking wine. |
| Leslie grew up in Milpitas, CA, a suburb of Internet start-up metropolis San Jose, in Northern California. Though she loved her hometown dearly, her wanderlust and love of urban life led her to The George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she double-majored in Music and Dramatic Literature. Because of the intimacy of both programs, she was truly able to try her hand in many aspects of the arts world – including performance, education, direction, design, and administration – with support from a myriad of wonderful faculty members. One such faculty member was the impetus behind her two and a half year internship at Chorus America, which sparked her interest in arts administration. After graduation in 2006, she returned to her family in California and began her working life as the Executive Director of the small community organization SingersMarin, where she worked in every arena – selling tickets, writing grants, website and database management, general administration and more. Her experiences there only solidified her desires to make a difference in the arts world and helped her find her way to the Arts Administration program at CCM. She is thrilled to be a part of the amazing MA/MBA program alongside such wonderful and experienced classmates. In her free time, she enjoys rock climbing, board games, office products, theatre, and singing, and she is passionate about cupcakes. |
