Real World Experience
for Arts Administrators
In addition to classes, Arts Administration students are expected to expand
their skills working with professional arts organizations throughout the world.
The curriculum provides a variety of career opportunities which can be tailored
to the individual needs of each graduate student.
Below are some opportunities we offer our students for
Professional Development: |
 |
| Summer internships are required for two quarters, with placement on a national or international basis. The opportunity to work with a selected professional administrator in a selected organization, applying classroom theory to day-to-day operations, is invaluable. These internships generally offer a weekly stipend to students. |
| |
| Independent study provides a flexible opportunity during the school-year for
a student to intern in a department of a Cincinnati arts organization that meets
that student's career interests.
|
| |
| Many of the students selected to the Arts Administration program also receive graduate assistantships (10-20 hrs of work per week), which cover full tuition and most fees, plus a stipend that ranges from approximately $3,500 to $7,000. |
| |
| In addition to the diverse range of practical work experiences available, the
Arts Administration Program features Current Issues Forum, which provides an
opportunity to interact with arts professionals from around the world. |
| |
The CCM Arts Administration program offers strong ties to its alumni working in arts organizations throughout the world. Often, these alumni will request students from the program to serve an internship or even job placement.
For current job postings, alumni and current students may log into our Alumni Network and click on Job/Intern Postings.
