Download and print Registration Form!
2008 marks the 30th Anniversary of Carl H.P. Dahlgren’s appointment as the first full-time director of the MA/MBA Arts Administration Program at CCM. So there’s no better time to bring alumni together in celebration of our past, present, and future as one of the strongest (and oldest) graduate arts management programs in the nation. Download/print the registration form so you may:
- REUNITE WITH CLASSMATES
- RECONNECT WITH FORMER AND CURRENT FACULY
- MEET TODAY’S STUDENTS
- ATTEND THE OPENING OF A NEW EXHIBIT AS SPECIAL GUESTS OF THE CONTEMPORARY ARTS CENTER
- SEE THE NEW CCM VILLAGE AND THE REMARKABLE TRANSFORMATION OF THE UC CAMPUS
- HONOR PROFESSOR EMERITUS CARL H.P. DAHLGREN
- ENJOY ALL THAT’S NEW AND EXCITING ON THE CINCINNATI ARTS AND ENTERTAINMENT SCENE
We’ve planned a series of relaxed, fun events – with plenty of “time on your own” to enjoy your classmates.
Friday, May 23 7 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
KICK-OFF WITH ART, KARAOKE, AND A BIT OF BUBBLY
You’ll be a special guest of the Contemporary Arts Center for the opening of a new exhibit, American Idyll: Contemporary Art and Karaoke. Take a guided tour of this strikingly innovative structure in the heart of downtown, designed by Zara Hadid and called by the New York Times “…the most important new building in America since the cold war.” And top off the evening with a champagne toast for CCM Arts Administration alumni. A cash bar will be available.
Why not plan dinner with your classmates before or after the CAC event? With the recent renovation of Fountain Square, downtown Cincinnati has blossomed with a number of excellent restaurants. Check out the hottest spots on www.cincinnatiusa.com or www.gototown.com.
Saturday, May 24 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
MIX AND MINGLE WITH BREAKFAST AT CCM
We’re hosting a continental breakfast in the Baur Room. Meet current students and enjoy leisurely conversations with fellow alums and faculty. Sign up for CCM Village and campus tours to experience all of the changes at UC. CCM features totally new and beautifully renovated performance spaces, and the campus is filled with signature architecture by the likes of Frank Gehry, Peter Eisenman, Michael Graves, and Pritzker Prize-winner Thom Mayne.
Saturday, May 24 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
THE ALUMNI CELEBRATION DINNER
Starting with a cocktail hour (cash bar) and followed by a bountiful buffet including wine, we’ll cap off the celebration in the stylish Mick and Mack’s Café at Tangeman University Center. Ed Stern, Producing Artistic Director of the Tony Award-Winning Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, will engage us in conversation about the nature and meaning of leadership in today’s cultural organizations. And, of course, we’ll honor Carl for his many contributions to the program, including a presentation of the results of the Carl H.P. Dahlgren Endowment campaign (we’ve raised over $550,000 to expand this Arts Administration scholarship fund and you’ll be hearing from Karen and Alan shortly about helping us to reach the campaign goal of $600,000).
Special thanks to Fifth Third Bank for helping to underwrite the costs of the Alumni Celebration.
