shellie_cashspacer BFA in Ballet, U. Of Utah; MA in Dance and Movement Studies, Wesleyan University. ATI certified teacher of the Alexander Technique. Other mind/body systems studied include: yoga, Bartenieff Fundamentals, the Pilates Method and t'ai chi. Early dance training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, under the direction of Ruth C. Petrinovic. Post-undergraduate training in New York with Maggie Black for ballet and at the Limon Institute for modern. Performed with Ballet West, New Jersey Ballet, Tanz-Forum (Graham technique based company in Cologne, Germany), Peter Goss Dance Co. (Limon technique-based company in Paris, France); toured internationally with Ballet Theatre du Silence (Cunningham technique-based company in Paris, France). Formerly Assistant Professor of Dance at Bucknell University (1989-1994). Teaches all levels of modern dance technique, dance history, injury prevention, choreography and courses in the Alexander Technique. Faculty, CCM, since 1994.

Yi-Qi Cheng
yi_qi_cheng A graduate of the Beijing Dance Academy where she was the student of Peter Guschev (director of the Kirov Ballet), Yi-Qi Cheng has danced solo and principal roles with the Central Ballet of China. She subsequently became rehearsal director of the company and also served on the faculty of the Beijing Dance Academy. In the United States, Professor Cheng was on the ballet faculties of the University of Utah and Brigham Young University, and was company teacher for Ballet West in Salt Lake City, as well as ballet mistress for Indianapolis Ballet Theater. Professor Cheng teaches ballet technique, pointe, variations, repertoire and pedagogy classes. Faculty, CCM, since 1997.

Jiang Qi
jang_qi BFA and MFA, U. of Utah. Ballet master and principal dancer of Ballet West. Studied at Beijing Dance Academy and Joffrey Ballet School, and Danced with Twyla Tharp Dancers in New York. Other professional dance experience includes Hong Kong Ballet, Beijing Central Song and Dance Ensemble and Central Ballet. In 1980, he won the top prize in All China Dance Competition and in 1985, he was deemed the premier artist of China by the Chinese government. He has choreographed works or taught master classes for Ballet West, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet, Louisville Ballet, Singapore Dance Theater, Toshiko Sato Ballet of Japan, Utah Regional Ballet, Alaska Dance Theater, Utah Ballet, Guangzhou Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School and Shanghai Dance Academy. He has been a Dance Panelist for the National Endowment For The Arts. He is Currently an Artistic Director of Dance China NY. Faculty, CCM, since 2001. www.Jiangqi.net

michael_tevlin BA, Dance, Butler University, MS, Ballet, Indiana University. Former Assistant Director of Interlochen Arts Camp Dance Program. Ballet Instructor and Production Coordinator Interlochen Arts Academy, part-time faculty at Dance Arts Academy in Traverse City, Michigan. Former Artistic Director of Fort Wayne Ballet Company and Memphis Ballet Company. Former faculty at Rhodes University, Memphis State University and Millikin University. Performed with Fort Wayne Ballet, Memphis Ballet, Millikin Dance Theatre, Indiana Ballet Theatre, Indianapolis Starlight Theatre, Butler Ballet, St. Louise Civic Ballet and others. Named Master Artist by Indiana Arts Commission in 1985 and 1991. Taught and adjudicated at numerous ballet festivals, conferences and competitions. Faculty, CCM since 1999.
