Won-Bin Yim studied with Dorothy Delay at Juilliard and the Aspen Music School. Earlier teachers include Jens Ellerman, Berl Senofsky, Jae Hyun Lee, Joon Woo Lee and Yong-Ku Ahu. He has performed in numerous solo and chamber music concerts and master classes in the U.S. and Korea. As concertmaster he conducted the Wichita Symphony Orchestra (1990-91), Reno Philharmonic (1986-90) and Bay View Festival Orchestra (1987-89). He was the winner of the Artist International Audition at Carnegie Recital Hall, which was also his New York debut. He is a former member of the Fairmount String Quartet and Argenta Trio. Past teaching experience includes Wichita State University, University of Nevada/Reno and the Bay View Music Festival (1987-89). He teaches at The Juilliard School and the Aspen Music School, and he was an assistant to Dorothy Delay. |
