Elective Piano Study
Piano lessons are available as an elective to both CCM and non-CCM students on a space available basis. If you take piano elective, you are required to play a studio class at the end of the quarter.

The two courses offered are:
16-PIAN-530-001 Piano Elective
16-PIAN-930-001 Piano Elective (reserved for doctoral level CCM students)

Limited spots are available to university students. The following criteria determines study:


First: CCM students
Second: Matriculating University of Cincinnati students, with preference to those with the most extensive background in piano.
Third: Beginning students willing to work with Piano Pedagogy students

16-PIAN-501-001 Piano for Non-majors
Designed for students with no (or less than two years) piano background, it is taught by Dr. Conda with the assistance of piano pedagogy students. It will be offered spring 2009, with a limit of twelve participants. Please register as early as possible.

Application Procedure for Piano Elective
Fill out the "Applied Piano Form" found on the bulletin board outside room 5221 Mary Emery Hall by the first Friday of the quarter by 12:00 noon. Auditions will be set up after the information is received, as necessary.
You will be emailed if you are accepted for lessons. After receiving the email, sign up for a time outside the appropriate room (5223 or 5225 Mary Emery Hall)

Application Procedure for CCM Graduate Students
In order for CCM Graduate Students to take Piano Elective, the Graduate Piano Proficiency must be completed. See Graduate Piano Proficiency for more information.
