Secondary Piano

Dr. Michelle Conda, Coordinator

All incoming music students (except piano majors) must complete their Secondary Piano Requirements.
Nine graduate assistants as well as Dr. Conda teach the classes and lessons for completing your requirements.

Group lessons are normally given, including an Honors Piano sequence.

Secondary Piano Audition Information

Please bring a piece of music you are comfortable performing. It need not be memorized. If you can not play the piano, you will need to start with Beginning Piano. No test is neccesary. The following areas are tested:
1. Scales and arpeggios
2. Sightreading
3. Improvisation
4. Prepared repertoire
5. Score reading
6. Transposition
