The
Musical Theatre program is part of the larger OMDA Division (Opera, Musical Theatre, Drama and Arts
Administration). This in turn is one of the eleven Divisions that make up
the College-Conservatory of Music.
During their four years in residence, musical
theatre majors work with a wide variety of faculty drawn from the OMDA
Division and the Conservatory at large. Faculty members who

MUSIC THEORY
The
Musical Theatre program
routinely invites working professionals in the
field to visit CCM to present master classes on the various aspects of
a performing career. These include performers, directors,
choreographers and dancers, musical directors and conductors, vocal
coaches, agents and casting directors, critics, producers and cast
members from national touring productions. A selection of recent

Jason Graae received
the Ovation Award for the Los Angeles hit,
Forbidden Broadway Y2KLA! In
Los Angeles, he also starred in The
Boys From Syracuse, was featured in
Forbidden Hollywood and
played Harry Houdini in Ragtime.
On Broadway, he starred in A Grand
Night for Singing,
Falsettos, Stardust,
Snoopy and
Do Black Leather Shoes Really Reflect
Up? Off-Broadway shows include
Forever Plaid,
Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh
(Drama Desk Nomination), Olympus on
My Mind and many others. His one-man show, performed at
Rainbow and Stars, Arci’s Place and the Cinegrill, won him Bistro and
Robby awards. Television appearances include Showtime’s
Rude Awakening and guest
starring roles on Friends, Frasier,
Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Providence, Caroline in the City, Coach
and Living Single. He can
be heard on more that 25 recordings including his solo albums
You’re Never Fully Dressed Without A
Smile and Jason Graae --
Live at The Cinegrill. He most recently played C.C. Baxter in
Promises, Promises with
George Hearn in Chicago and will soon be heard as a cow in the new
animated Disney film, Sweating
Bullets.
