Won-Bin Yim
Violin
Won-Bin Yim is currently Associate Professor of Violin at the College-Conservatory
of Music, University of Cincinnati, and a member of the Artist-Faculty at
the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Mr. Yim taught previously at the Juilliard School as a violin faculty
of the Pre-College Division and as an assistant faculty at the college
Division. He was also active at the Great Mountain Music Festival and School as a
dean and a violin faculty member.
His students have won prizes in national competitions, and former students
are playing in major symphony orchestras and teaching in universities
in the United States and abroad.
Yim has served as concertmaster of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra and Reno
Philharmonic, and was a violinist of the Fairmount String Quartet and the Argenta Trio.
He received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Juilliard School
where he studied with Dorothy Delay and assisted her with teaching.
Other teacher include Jens Ellerman, Berl Senofsky, Young-Gu Ahn, and Joon-Woo Lee.
