Barbara Honn
Barbara Honn, Professor of Voice. BME, MM, Wichita
State U. Studied with Muret Harzog, Kassel, Germany. Has
performed throughout Germany, and in Belgium, Italy,
Austria, Holland, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and the United
States. Taught both in public schools and in higher education
including the Academy of Vocal Arts, Israel Vocal Arts
Institute, International Vocal Arts Institute, Chiari, Italy and
Miami, FL. She has taught at the American Institute of
Musical Studies, Graz, Austria; Musician’s’ Club of America,
Franklin, NC; The Voice Symposium, Philadelphia, PA; as
well as giving master classes and recitals nationally and
internationally. Apprentice and summer programs in which
her students have participated include: Merola, Wolf Trap,
Chautauqua, Detroit, Central City, Aspen, Santa Fe,
Glimmerglass, Sarasota, Ohio Light Opera, Virginia Opera,
Columbus Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Dallas Lyric Opera,
Pittsburgh Opera, Cleveland Lyric Opera, Indianapolis Opera,
and St. Louis Opera. Mrs. Honn’s students perform at the
Metropolitan Opera, New York City Opera, San Francisco
Opera, Houston Opera, Vienna State Opera, Munich Opera,
Covent Garden, and other major opera houses throughout the
