Mark Ostoich
Mark Ostoich, Professor of Oboe. DMA, Louisiana State University, student
of E. Earnest Harrison. Currently director of winds of the Lucca Festival
and Opera Theatre of Lucca and on the staff of the Grandin Festival. Active
as soloist and clinician. Formerly Professor of Oboe at Louisiana State
University, 1986-1996 and University of Florida, 1974-1986. Former principaloboist of the Santa Fe Opera, Jacksonville Symphony, and Baton Rouge
Symphony. Has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, New York
Philharmonic, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, New Orleans Ballet, and
Louisiana Philharmonic. Served as artist-faculty of the Sewanee Summer
Music Festival for 14 seasons and the International Chamber Music Festival
in Taos, NM. Co-host of the 1990 Conference of the International Double
Reed Society. Faculty, CCM, since 1996.
