Choir Programs
Founder and Managing Artistic Director, Robyn Reeves Lana
We are pleased to have the Cincinnati Children’s Choir as Ensemble-in-Residence for the CCM Preparatory Department. It is CCC's goal to educate children from any background, to offer an opportunity to learn and experience musical excellence, to demonstrate the children's knowledge through performance, to strengthen self-esteem in all children who participate, and to offer a venue for young musicians to create, socialize, learn, and perform with other talented young musicians from Greater Cincinnati and around the world. CCC offers participation in five choirs for unchanged voices.

Bel Canto Choir,Grades 5 - 12, CCC’s primary touring choir, is a highly advanced
choir for young singers in grades 5 through 12 with good vocal technique,
good reading skills, and who are willing to commit to rehearsing twice
a week resulting in a prestigious performance schedule.
Rehearses on Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 7:00-8:15 p.m.
Cincinnati Girl Choir,Grades 10 - 12, CCC's touring chamber ensemble for 10th through
12th grade girls, performs advanced repertoire, and is designed for those
with excellent vocal technique and reading skills.
Rehearses on Thursdays
from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
Lyric Choir,Grades 5 - 8, is for younger singers in grades 5 through 8. Choir members
are comfortable using their voices and singing in parts. Children learn
good vocal technique, sight-reading skills, and musicianship skills. Lyric
Choir hosts and visits children’s choirs from around the United States
and goes on a mini-tour each spring.
Rehearses on Tuesdays from 5:40-6:55
p.m.
Jubilate Choir,Grades 3 - 6, is for children in grades 3 through 6 that have demonstrated
the ability to match pitch and that have had some vocal or choral experience.
The children are introduced to note reading, sight singing, unison to
3 part music, and healthy vocal technique.
Rehearses on Tuesdays from
7:15-8:15 p.m.
Preparatory Choir,Grades 2 through 4,Students have demonstrated an
ability to match pitch. They are introduced to basic note reading, solfege,
good vocal technique, and simple two-part music.
Rehearses on Tuesdays
from 6:15-7:05 p.m.
