Cap Information
Students in the preparatory division have the option of paying separately for each offering or choosing the certificate track available in each area.
In each program area there is a maximum cap for tuition. Students who pay the maximum tuition receive a significant discount on their training; therefore no additional discounts are applied.
Music Cap
$1,000 per semester (excludes Starling program). For this amount, students receives a one hour lesson (including surcharge), theory classes, a prep ensemble or chamber music, and a semester jury, as well as opportunities to participate in area and outside competitions. Students in this program are allowed to take a class in the theatre arts or dance division, depending on availability and acceptance by area. If a student studies with a teacher without the surcharge, the cost is $850 per semester.
Theatre Arts Cap
$850 per semester. For this amount, students can take unlimited classes in acting, musical theatre and dance, including ballet. Students who are accepted into the acting or musical theatre hs program also have performance opportunities as well as college audition preparation and guidance. Students in this program have the option of taking a music theory class or other group class depending on availability and acceptance by area.
Ballet Cap
$850 per semester. For this amount, students can take unlimited classes in ballet, musical theatre dance, tap and if accepted, the Youth Ballet Company. Students in this program are allowed to take a class in music theory or other group class in music or theatre arts, depending on availability and acceptance by area.
