Distinctive and welcoming, the CCM Preparatory Ballet Program for all ages is proud to be housed within one of the few collegiate classical ballet programs in the United States. The CCM Preparatory Ballet Programs philosophy is that every child deserves careful and personal training from qualified instructors, making it open to all.
Beginning classes do not require a placement audition. Students wishing to be placed in an upper level should contact the ballet office to schedule an audition. As students progress, they are expected to attend multiple classes that are listed in the program book. Exceptions to this must be approved by the Coordinator of the program. At the appropriate time, students are encouraged to begin Pointe classes. At the conclusion of the academic year, students are evaluated and given a recommendation for placement for the next year. Ballet classes for both beginner and advanced students are available in the summer.
Benefits of the CCM Preparatory Ballet Program:
Classes are small in size with instructors specially trained to teach young children.
Classical ballet discipline sets our program apart from others.
Children learn in a structured, yet relaxed environment.
A pianist accompanies each ballet class.
Private viewing booth allows parents to watch their children without distracting the class.
Please view the student handbook for policies and expectations regarding the ballet program.

CCM YOUTH BALLET COMPANY (audition required)
The CCM Youth Ballet Company is designed to give serious young dancers specialized training and performance opportunities in a professional atmosphere. The Youth Ballet Company, Levels V-VII, provides dancers with challenging, age-appropriate choreography designed to make them grow not only as artists, but as responsible young adults. The Junior Company offers the same dance experiences as the Youth Ballet Company with a less rigorous rehearsal schedule. It is an ideal way for students to experience and develop their performance skills, critical to the education and life of a dance. Experienced students in Level IV rehearse one or two days per week for a total of three to four hours. Students in Level II and III rehearse one day per week for one hour.ADULT BALLET PERFORMANCE GROUP
