Eta-Iota chapter maintains a high level of musical excellence. Our members have attended numerous music festivals, have been the recipients of many scholarships both from Sigma Alpha Iota and elsewhere, including Fulbright grants, and have gone on to a number of prestigious graduate programs in music, including Indiana University, CCM, and the Yale School of Music.
Our chapter works with CCM, the CCM Tribunal, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Mu Phi Epsilon fraternities to promote music performance and education throughout the Cincinnati area. We have also helped with fundraising for the Cincinnati LINKs organization (Lonely Instruments for Needy Kids) to collect instruments for children and schools who have access to none.
We also participate in the Cincinnati Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure each year to help raise money for a cure for breast cancer and have joined the University of Cincinnati community in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. We have also sponsored self-defense classes for the women of CCM.
