The College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati is priviledged to host the 14th International World Association of Symphonic Bands and Ensembles (WASBE) Conference on July 5-11, 2009.

As such, the annual CCM Wind Conducting Workshop has been been cancelled for the summer of 2009.

Summer Wind Symphony
This workshop is
designed to address the need of today’s public school conductor/educator.
Whether you are a seasoned veteran or just finishing your first year of
teaching, this workshop is for you.
Participants
should bring to the workshop three recently conducted works, regardless of the
degree of difficulty. The lab ensemble will be composed of workshop participants
who will be joined by members of the renowned CCM Wind Symphony.
Each conducting
opportunity will be videotaped, followed by one-on-one critique sessions.
Special emphasis will
be placed on score preparation and analysis, left and right hand interaction,
mixed meter and accompanimental conducting, and rehearsal techniques.
