Featured Thinking About Music Virtual Lecture

This virtual installment of CCM's Thinking About Music Series features a lecture by Michael Haas, a multiple Grammy Award-winning recording producer also known for his recovery of music lost during the Third Reich. The title of Haas' talk is “Hans or Hanuš: Winterberg’s Complex Tangles with the 20th Century.”

March 6 Life of the Mind lecture to once again address the topic of "Next"

Life of the Mind, interdisciplinary conversations with UC faculty, will return Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 2:30-4:30pm, in TUC 400B with a lecture by Stephen Meyer, professor of musicology in the College-Conservatory of Music. Professor Meyer will speak on “Beyond Decanonization: The Future of Humanities in the Neoliberal University.”

CCM's Music Theory and Musicology Society hosts student conference Sept. 11-12, 2020

The Music Theory and Musicology Society (MTMS) at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) has rescheduled its eighth biennial student conference for Sept. 11 and 12, 2020. Entitled "Conversations in Music," the virtual conference is designed to engage both UC students and students from other institutions in the broad field of music scholarship.
