Cincinnati Youth Choir’s learning environments are explorative, supportive, and fun. Our resident and in-school choirs have engaged thousands of Cincinnati youth through musicianship and vocal development and outstanding artistry. Inspired by the innovative El Sistema model, CYC also manages the city’s Cincinnati Choral Academy, a free after-school program serving over 200 CPS students, in collaboration with Cincinnati May Festival and Vocal Arts Ensemble (VAE), operating within a “participatory environment in which students and teachers learn and lead, together.”
Over the past 30 years, CYC singers have formed lasting relationships with children outside their communities & developed a lifelong appreciation of choral music. Boasting an impressive international reputation, CYC singers have toured globally in Italy, Japan, China, Scandinavia, The United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, and Canada. CYC also holds the title of Gold Medal Youth Choir in 2012’s World Choir Games.

The Vocal Music Program at the School for Creative and Performing Arts (SCPA) cultivates a dynamic community of dedicated singer-artists and aspiring musicians. SCPA Vocal Ensembles frequently collaborate with esteemed groups such as the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra, the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus, and other renowned artists. Students in the SCPA Concert Choir engage in focused study of principles in vocal pedagogy, music literacy, and the exploration of diverse performance opportunities. The SCPA Concert Choir is excited to participate in the 2025 Feast of Carols.
David F. Allen, conductor
Elder High School Glee Club all all-male chorus, performs in the Seton/Elder Performance Arts Series in concerts throughout the year and for many civic events throughout the city. Every two years, the Glee Club travels to Europe and performs in many concerts. This summer, the group will travel to England and Scotland, continuing this tradition. We look forward to performing with the CCM choruses in the Feast of Carols.
